NUstART BrunstaneEdinburgh Art Group
This group was originally set up in Edinburgh’s Craigmillar district by Napier University to foster the arts in the local community. Given the name “Artists in Craigmillar” it became an established part of the local art scene. After funding dried up the artists reformed the group as an independent, self sufficient body to carry on their new-found interests. They renamed the group NUstART Brunstane to signify the new beginning and the fact that they’d had to move the studio to a different location, and just carried on painting. However, the University graciously allowed the group to maintain the link with their tutor and to use some of their facilities if and when they were needed. What you see here is an example of some of the group’s work.
